seeks to inspire in urban children a lasting dedication to education,
healthy living, and civic responsibility. This division is active at 12
public elementary schools in San Francisco in the Bayview, Hunter's Point
and Excelsior neighborhoods in addition to 6 schools in East Oakland! Bay
Area SCORES, now with 18 schools, is the second largest affiliate with of
America SCORES, the nation's largest inner-city soccer and literacy program.

Sky Youth Empowerment:

The Big Sky Youth Empowerment Project, Inc.
believes that youth are the World’s greatest asset. Their programs target
high-school aged, disadvantaged youth and seek to provide them the
opportunity for empowerment through outdoor activity and social-emotional
learning opportunities. They believe it is our responsibility to provide
these experiences at no cost to the youth and enjoy building community
through pro-social involvement.
Camp
Goodtimes (program through the American Cancer Society):
www.cancer.org - Camp Goodtimes is an outdoor adventure where children
ages 7 to 17 can have the opportunity to enjoy the many activities meant for
childhood. Camp Goodtimes is a medically-supervised, week-long camp, and is
free to all cancer patients -- so that all children, no matter what their
family’s financial situation, will have the opportunity to enjoy the
experience.

The Conservation
Alliance is a non-profit organization of outdoor
businesses whose collective annual membership dues support grassroots
citizen-action groups and their efforts to protect wild and natural areas.
One hundred percent of its member companies' dues go directly to diverse,
local community groups across the nation.
FEAR Project:
www.fearproject.org - FEAR is a multi-media documentary project
combining both photo and radio journalism to tell personal stories of sexual
violence. Not simply an exercise in rape recollection, FEAR documents real
people coping with the lasting effects of sexual assault. The purpose is to
create dialog which, it is hoped, will help build a community less likely to
silence survivors. FEAR is a 3-board member nonprofit created by Tim
Matsui, a Seattle-local and active participant in the rock climbing/alpine
community.
Fusion International:

displaced persons worldwide by providing services that alleviate poverty,
protect human rights, and promote dignity and self-sufficiency. Fusion also
raises awareness of the global crisis of internal displacement through
education for the general public. Fusion International is based out of
Seattle.

- Kids with Cameras is a non-profit
organization that teaches the art of photography to marginalized children in
communities around the world. They share the children’s vision and voices
with the world through exhibitions, books, websites and film. Kids with
Cameras is committed to furthering the children’s general education beyond
photography either by linking with local organizations to provide
scholarships or by developing their own schools with a focus on leadership
and the arts.
International Refugee Committee
(Indonesian Earthquake):

brings lifesaving aid
to refugees and other displaced people whose lives have been uprooted by
violent conflict, oppression, or natural disaster.
Purdy Associates has asked that our money go toward relief of
the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck central Java on May 27 and that has
killed nearly 6,000 people and injured tens of thousands in a region already
threatened by the volatile Mt. Merapi volcano. Some 650,000 people have been
left homeless by the disaster.

- The mission of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) is the
preservation of the outstanding wilderness at the heart of the Colorado
Plateau, and the management of these lands in their natural state for the
benefit of all Americans. SUWA promotes local and national recognition of

supports both administrative and legislative initiatives to permanently
protect the Colorado Plateau wild places within the National Park and
National Wilderness Preservation System or by other protective designations
where appropriate; builds national support for such initiatives on both the
local and national level; and provides leadership within the conservation
movement through uncompromising advocacy for wilderness preservation.
